What is PEER?
PEER is a secure java application that runs in the background of your PC and
leverages your system’s idle resources (such as unused processing power, RAM,
and bandwidth) to test the performance of many of the world’s most popular
websites.
How does PEER work?
By using your system’s unique characteristics, in combination with other unique
systems around the world, the PEER application performs tests that measure how
websites perform for their visitors. As long as you are connected to the Internet
the PEER will be able to perform its tests with no impact on your machine’s
performance.
How do you earn cash with PEER?
Simply run the PEER application as often as possible while connected to the
Internet. Active* PEERs accumulate earnings for their daily Online Time and
every minute of work their system processes for the Dynatrace servers.
Best Practices
The Basics
The PEER application only works when your machine is connected to Internet – so
make sure you’re online as often as possible to maximize your earnings
potential.
After downloading the PEER and making sure you’re connected to the Internet,
make sure to run the application as often as possible. So run the PEER
application as often as possible to increase your chances of being activated.
Verify that the Internet connection type, country, and zip/postal code you
indicated in the “Preferences” menu in the PEER application window matches the
true location and bandwidth of your machine. You will earn a referral bonus for
each new PEER we activated who enters your username in the “I Was Referred By”
field on the application page.
Adjust the amount of work the PEER application processes by setting the
performance manager to “Max.” You can find the performance manager by clicking
on “Options” > “Preferences” in the PEER application window. If you have any
additional PCs that you can use, register them and install the PEER application
on those machines.
Verify your preferences on the PEER user interface.
Using the PEER Software
Account Balance: This section of the interface displays the amount of time your PC was available online, the amount of time it processed work and your earnings for the day, month and lifetime as a Gomez PEER.
